In what came as a huge surprise to many fans, ABC has announced that the hit series Revenge will nor be renewed for a fifth season. May 10th’s season four finale of the show  titled “Two Graves” will actually be the final episode of the series.

Executive producer, Sunil Nayar, made the following statement:

“We can officially tell our fans that this will be the end of the story. We’ve been talking to the network and we all just wanted to make sure that we felt very confident. Now that everybody has seen the finale – which is fabulous – everybody understands that as much as we all adore the show it has hit exactly the mark it needed to to end. This is the series finale of ‘Revenge’ that will be airing in a couple weeks”.

The show has been nominated for a Golden Globe and won numerous other awards as well as great reviews from critics and viewers alike throughout its four years on television. The plot follows Emily Thorne, a beautiful and charming young woman with a troubled history. Formally known as Amanda Clarke, Emily moves back to the Hamptons to seek revenge against the people who destroyed her father’s life when she was nine years old.
