Game of Thrones creator George R.R. Martin is working on a new project! He is currently developing a new series for HBO about a young sci-fi writer pushing boundaries with his unique writing just as television is coming into the picture in 1949. The show is tentatively titled Captain Cosmos.

Martin is not expected to be committing a lot of time to the new series after the idea is developed. He is currently working on the sixth novel in the “A Song of Ice and Fire” series, which Game of Thrones is based on. Considering the huge level of success achieved by the latter, we are sure any show that Martin touches will turn gold.

The hit HBO series has had people excited for the fifth season of GOT for months, and finally its release date is just around the corner. Game of Thrones premieres on HBO on Sunday, April 12th at 9 p.m. It will be broadcast simultaneously worldwide.
