Season 5 Episode 1

A Labour government comes into power after the election of 1924. At the same time, the planning of a war memorial creates tensions between Carson, Robert, and Mrs. Hughes. Meanwhile Edith may jeopardize the household as she struggles with her emotions.

Season 5 Episode 2

Robert is struggling with a tough decision after the drama that unfolded the previous night. Anna is unwillingly made an accomplice to Mary’s latest scheme. Lord Merton continues to pursue Isobel.

Season 5 Episode 3

Violet saves the day after Mary’s scheme almost blows up in her face. Violet’s past begins to get unraveled, just as Branson contemplates an idea about the future of the estate. Robert is ashamed and angry when his plans fall through.

Thomas is ill after returning to Downtown. Violet comes clean about her past to Isobel. Sarah Bunting crosses the line, while Mary finally makes up her mind about Lord Gillingham.

Violet asks for the help of Doctor Clarkson to help Isobel make the right decision about Lord Merton. Charles helps Mary come up with a new plan, while Simon Bricker crosses the line when discussing a painting with Cora.
