There’s a new musical romance coming your way from P.S. I Love You director, Richard LaGravenese, called The Last 5 Years. The film is an adaptation of Jason Robert Brown’s musical which follows the relationship of two young lovers; an up and coming novelists and a struggling actress. The story is told from one perspective in chorological order of events, and from the other in reverse order. To top it off, five-year romance is mostly described and shown through musical numbers as opposed to dialogue. Check out the trailer below!
The film stars Anna Kendrick, who has been on our radar lately due to her upcoming Pitch Perfect 2 and Into the Woods releases, as the female lead, and Jeremy Jordan as her lover. The release date is set for February 13th, 2015.
