You’ve heard the rumors, but now we can officially say it’s true – yes, another Indiana Jones movie is on its way. First announced by Vanity Fair, Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy broke the news in her interview for Vanity Fair’s June cover story on Star Wars. The following is an excerpt from the cover piece:

“In buying the company, Disney also got rights, for better or worse, to less-storied Lucasfilm properties, among them ‘Willow’ and ‘Radioland Murders’. A bigger prize is the ‘Indiana Jones’ franchise. Kennedy confirmed rumors that another Indy movie ‘will one day be made inside this company. ‘When it will happen, I’m not quite sure. We haven’t starts working on a script yet, but we are talking about it'”.

Kennedy was an executive producer to Steven Spielberg on all his films from 1982 until 2012, including the Indiana Jones films. We’re sure that the right cast and crew will be chosen for the revival of the beloved franchise if she stands behind it.

P.S. There’s one casting rumor floating round the web suggesting Chris Pratt might take on Harrison’s iconic role – what do you think about it?
