Dreamworks promised to deliver us the third installment of the Kung Fu Panda movies on December 23, 2015, but it looks like that is no longer happening. The studio decided to push back the film to its originally proposed release date in order to avoid the madness that will be surrounding Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Kung Fu Panda 3 is now set for release on March 16, 2016.

In the third Kung Fu Panda film Po will be “continuing his legendary adventures of awesomeness” by facing two new threats. One of the threats is supernatural, and the other is personal. Will Po be able to handle the challenges that await him and his friends? We’ll have to wait and see…

The first two Kung Fu Panda films were commercial and critical successes, both receiving Academy Award nominations for Best Animated Feature Film. Kung Fu Panda 3 has Jack Black returning to voice Po, and will feature Angelina Jolie, Gary Oldman, Jackie Chan, Dustin Hoffman, Seth Rogenm, and Bryan Cranston – to name a few – in its all-star cast.
