Gotham’s Jada Pinkett Smith made a disappointing announcement at an interview on “Live with Kelly and Michael” earlier this week. She admitted Fish Mooney might not be returning to Gotham saying, “I don’t think [Fish Mooney is returning], no. I signed for a year and the year is up”.

However she did promise there are exciting events about to take place on the show saying, “There are some great things coming ahead on Gotham. Believe me. There’s a lot of stuff coming”. We’ll take her word for it and make sure to tune in on April 13th when the show returns to Fox with the first season’s 19th episode!

Gotham is a prequel series examining the Batman universe. It looks at Commissioner James Gordon’s rise in Gotham city, and his battle against evil. In the meantime a young Bruce Wayne begins plotting his revenge for his parents’ murders (IMDb 8.1).
