Netflix had been having a lot of competition as of late, with various companies including HBO, CBS, YouTube, and Vimeo all promising or delivering new streaming-services. Netflix is upping their game by adding more exclusive content to their site.

Comedian Bill Burr and Emmy-winning Simpson Writer Michael Price are behind a new show called F is for Family being released exclusively on Netflix in 2015. Comedy-actor Vince Vaughn is also an executive producer behind the show.

Netflix described the show saying, “F is for Family follows the Murphy family in the 1970’s, a time when you could smack your kid, smoke inside and bring a gun to the airport”. When commenting on Bill Burr’s involvement Cindy Holland, VP of Netflix-exclusive content, said “Bill Burr’s stand up specials are wildly popular for us worldwide, and we’re looking forward to presenting his at once nostalgic and unflinching take on the family comedy in this original, animated series”. This show will be a comedy with adult humor, following in the footsteps of popular shows such as Family Guy, South Park and The Simpsons.

The father in the show will be voiced by Bill Burr, the wife will be voiced by Laura Dern, and their eldest son will be voiced by Justin Long.

Netflix has had great success with their original content. The shows Orange is the New Black and House of Cards were immediate hits. If Netflix keeps doing what they’re doing, they won’t be losing any subscribers despite their growing competition.
